Privacy policy

Last updated 14 October 2026

Socials Organizer keeps the posts you've saved on social platforms in one library and sorts them by subject. This policy explains what we collect to do that, who helps us, and the choices you have. Socials Organizer is run by Jonathon Ransome, United Arab Emirates (“we”). Contact us at privacy@socialsorganizer.com.

What we collect

  • Your account: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture.
  • Your saved posts: for each post you've saved, its link, caption or text, author name and handle, public counts (likes, views), images and, for some videos, still frames and a transcript of what's said. Only posts you've saved or bookmarked are collected.
  • How you organise them: categories, tags, notes, titles you edit and rules you create.
  • Connections: for Reddit and YouTube, the access tokens those platforms give us when you connect (stored encrypted). For the browser extension, a device token we issue (we store only a fingerprint of it).
  • Service records: sync history, error reports, the days you used Socials Organizer, which version of the extension you run, and how much AI processing your library used. We don't use advertising trackers.
  • Visits to our website: counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't track you across sites: it records the page, the referring site, your country and the type of device and browser.

How we collect it

  • The browser extension reads your saved lists on Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn and Threads while you're signed in to them, in your own browser, and sends those saves to your library. It never posts, likes, unsaves or messages anything, and your platform passwords never reach us.
  • Reddit and YouTube are read through their official APIs, with the permission you grant when connecting.
  • Data exports you upload are read in your browser; only the saved posts in them are sent to us.
  • To fill in a post's caption or picture, our servers may fetch the platform's public preview of that post (see our bot).

How we use it

Only to run Socials Organizer: to store and show your library, keep it in sync, sort it with AI, and keep the service secure and working. We don't sell your data, show ads, or use your library for anything else.

AI sorting

To sort a post, its text, images, and any video frames or transcript are sent to Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic processes them on our behalf and doesn't use them to train its models. Videos are downloaded only long enough to take a few still frames and a transcript, then deleted; we never keep the video itself.

Who helps us

These providers process data on our behalf, under contracts that limit them to doing so:

  • Supabase: database and sign-in.
  • Cloudflare: hosting, file storage, video analysis, email forwarding and visitor counts.
  • Anthropic: AI sorting.
  • Resend: sign-in and account emails.
  • Sentry: error reports from the website, the browser extension and video analysis, so we can fix problems. Reports contain the error and your account id, not your saved posts or email address.
  • Google: “Sign in with Google” and the YouTube connection.
  • Reddit: the Reddit connection.

They process data in several countries, including the United States and the EU. Where data protection law requires it, they use safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

YouTube

If you connect YouTube, Socials Organizer uses YouTube API Services to read your liked videos and the playlists you've made, and by connecting you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's use of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. You can remove our access at any time from your Google account's security settings, or by disconnecting YouTube in Socials Organizer. Socials Organizer's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account (Settings → Delete account), your library, files and connections are deleted straight away, and removed from backups within 30 days. Disconnecting a platform stops syncing it; hide or delete saves you no longer want.

Your rights

You can download everything in your library (Settings → Export), correct it, or delete your account at any time. Wherever you live, you can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, and we'll honour the rights your local data protection law gives you. Email privacy@socialsorganizer.com. We use your data because it's needed to provide the service you signed up for, and in our legitimate interest in keeping it secure. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies: our visitor counts don't use cookies.

Children

Socials Organizer isn't meant for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
